How to dry leaves for crafts

Dry leaves are an excellent free raw material for various herbariums, applications, crafts. To keep your crafts for a long time, you need to learn how to properly dry the leaves. To do this, study the following rules:

  • Collect natural material only in dry weather.
  • Choose yellow or green leaf color.
  • Pay attention to the appearance of the leaves. The most suitable will be smooth, beautiful and clean, without damage and black dots.

There are several options for drying leaves. Let's consider each:

  • Long and high-quality way (takes 14-30 days). Carefully flatten each leaf and place between the pages of a notebook, which must be placed in a large thick book. Press something heavy on top of the book.
  • Accelerated. If you did not have time to make a blank, and you already need leaves for tomorrow, this method is the most suitable. Place the leaves between the newspapers and iron with a warm iron 3-4 times. Then let the plants cool and repeat the procedure a few more times. It is worth saying that when using this method, the plants become fragile and cannot be stored for a long time, the green leaves immediately darken, and the yellow ones remain bright.
  • Alternative. Some craftswomen got used to harvesting leaves with a hair dryer. They claim that with this method, the plants do not darken, but there is a chance that the leaves will curl up into a tube.

If you experience difficulties with the idea of a future work, a template for an application or a panel can be found on the Internet. But often the very shape and color of the dried leaf give an idea for the future. Animals, fish, birds, portraits and landscapes made of leaves and flowers evoke admiration, a desire to immediately try to make the same picture. You need quite a bit for this:

  1. Dried autumn leaves, herbs, flowers, seeds of different colors and sizes, collected from different plants. There should be as many of them as possible. Material can be harvested not only in the fall. The color palette of the future puzzle will be enriched by leaves collected in summer and spring.
  2. PVA glue, paper, cardboard, scissors, tweezers, paints, pencils and felt-tip pens can be found in every home.
  3. Matte varnish is used to secure the work done.

Techniques in which leaf applications are performed

Types of techniques, used for applications from dried natural material, differ in the method and complexity of execution. Which one to use - the author himself decides, focusing on his internal state when choosing, on how he sees the final result of his work.

Leaf Mosaic Applique

This technique allows you to make a panel on the principle of a puzzle, getting silhouette paintings. Leaves are selected and laid out in the right order. The result is a certain image, a plot. When working on the application using this technique, the authors use scissors to give the blanks the necessary shape.

Mosaic technique often involves observance of symmetry, and in this case, you should have the same pairs of hardwood material (for example, making a mosaic picture with the image of a butterfly, crab, creating some kind of pattern). Sometimes not the whole pattern may be symmetrical, but only certain areas of it.

Bulk application using dry leaves

Not only whole autumn leaves can be used in work. In the application it will look very harmonious dressing of dried and crushed leaves of different colors. You can also make it from loose leaf tea or flowers.

The silhouette of a ballerina drawn on paper, for example, is carefully smeared with PVA glue, covered with leaf crumbs on top. Excess material must be shaken off, and the skirt should be made from whole leaves.

Another example. The silhouette of a parrot is divided into sections, which are also filled with a sprinkle of leaves or flowers of various colors. The zone of the tail and wings is sealed with whole elongated leaves superimposed on each other in the form of plumage. To maintain the roundness of the wing at its base, the leaves are cut along the contour with scissors.

Leaf compositions using graphics

This is one of the most interesting application methods, superbly imaginative. This type of creativity is very exciting for children.

The dried sheet is pasted on a clean sheet of paper or cardboard, and the whole plot of the picture is completed with pencils, watercolors, gouache, felt-tip pens. You can first make a drawing, and glue the missing details with leaves, flowers, grass. To make objects look more realistic, some details in the image are made of plasticine, colored paper inserts are used.

Coloring dried leaves with gouache, watercolor

Amazingly beautiful panels can be created from autumn leaves, after decorating them various patterns and patterns. Apply them in the form of strokes, dots, stripes. After drying, all kinds of patterns are laid out from the obtained fragments, with the help of PVA glue they are attached to cardboard.

For example, you can lay out the leaves from the center of the cardboard base in a circle. This is how the rays of the sun diverge. The outer and inner contours of the composition are traced with pencils or paints, after drying, the layout is cut out with scissors. It turned out fabulous sun.

Using paint, leaves can be turned into various insects, fish, birds, draw the faces of animals on them. Using scissors, bring the craft to perfection. If the author has artistic skills, even a picture can be drawn on a single dried sheet with paints. A craft made in this way will be a wonderful gift if it is enclosed in a frame.

Application on a figurine cut out of cardboard

Cardboard is very convenient to use in the manufacture of crafts. Due to its density, the cut blank holds layers of leaves, grass, twigs, seeds on itself without deforming.

Most commonly used animal theme. For example, the contour of an owl is drawn on cardboard, the body is glued with overlapping leaves, moving from bottom to top, imitating plumage. You can not glue the head and paws of a bird, but cover these areas with gouache, make eyes from colored paper, seeds or plasticine. You can make the whole figure of an owl out of cardboard, and glue the wings, ears and paws with foliage. The finished craft is attached to the main picture, and a conceived plot is built around it.

Another version of this technique. Contours, for example, proteins are applied to cardboard. On the reverse side, the base sheet is completely covered with multi-colored or plain foliage, and when the blank dries, the animal is cut out along the previously applied contour. The image is supplemented with the necessary elements: eyes, nose, antennae, and the outlines of paws and ears are also drawn.

One more example. On a sheet of cardboard, draw a large head of a lion, decorate with gouache and cut it out. On another sheet of cardboard in a circle in several layers, stick yellow leaves that will imitate the shaggy mane of the king of beasts. In the center of the circle of leaves, glue the blank of the lion's muzzle. Mustaches can be made from dry grass.

Crafts from dried natural material

Creative ideas can be realized in many ways. The technique and methods of performing the application directly depend on the master's idea.

Vase of autumn leaves

An original decoration for any interior become a vase made from autumn maple leaves. For this you will need:

Depends on the capacity of the future vase how much hardwood to stock up and to what size the balloon should be inflated. The larger the vase, the larger the ball should be.

  1. The resulting sphere must be fixed in some container so that it is convenient to do the work. Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the top of the balloon.
  2. Harvested maple leaves should be free of defects, large, bright. Scissors need to carefully cut off their cuttings. Each sheet is generously smeared with glue with a brush and glued to the surface of the ball. Assembly of the product begins with the top of the ball. The leaves are layered in random order, overlapping. After fixing each element, it needs to be covered again with a layer of glue on top. The vase is formed from several layers of leaves. When assembling the structure, you need to ensure that the edges of the future vase are a beautiful carved border.
  3. After completing the main work, the entire product must again be abundantly smeared with glue and left to dry for about 48 hours. Then the ball should be pierced and separated from the resulting vase. The craft can be treated with water-based acrylic varnish. The varnish is applied in 2-3 layers, with intermediate drying. The result is a beautiful piece of decor. In such a vase you can store all sorts of little things.

Autumn leaves - do-it-yourself applications

Painting "Girl under an umbrella" from autumn leaves

In this master class we will make - the application "Girl under an umbrella".

  • white cardboard;
  • glue gun;
  • PVA glue or pencil;
  • black marker;
  • dry multi-colored leaves;
  • bark;
  • scissors;
  • dry blades.

First we need to outline the silhouette of the girl under the umbrella. We draw it on white cardboard.

Now the silhouette needs to be completely painted over with black. And for this we use an ordinary felt-tip pen. You can also use paint instead.

This completes the work with the drawings, and then we will glue the autumn leaves and tree bark.

Let's make a tree on the side of the girl. And to begin with, we cut out the trunk and then several branches from the bark with scissors. You don't have to do many branches. Three or four will be enough.

Glue the trunk and branches near the girl. These parts are best glued on hot glue. Ordinary glue will not hold the bark. The base for the tree is also ready.

Now you need to take multi-colored leaves. They must be dried first. And we break these leaves into small parts. Let them be different sizes and colors. The more colorful the autumn leaves, the better.

From these small parts we will form a crown. And here you need to use PVA glue or a pencil. Lubricate a small part with glue. And generously sprinkle it with our torn leaves.

Then we glue the other part with glue and do the same. That is, we glue the leaves in this way until the crown of the tree becomes quite fluffy and lush. It is important to leave as few gaps as possible.

On the bottom you need to glue the blades of grass. You can take small and thin elongated autumn leaves. And also fluffy blades of grass that grow everywhere are perfect here. They can be glued with hot glue.

Further from the crown down on both sides of the tree, you need to glue a few more leaves, which we crushed, so that it seems that the leaves are falling from the tree into the grass. You don’t need to glue a lot of leaves so as not to clutter up the application.

Using the same hot glue, you can make a couple of drops on the umbrella, as if it had been wet by rain.

Leaves applique is ready! It can be closed with glass, framed and hung on the wall.

Application of autumn leaves "Sunny Leva"

This lesson is provided to help creative parents. Make an applique of leaves with the image of a lion. Since both the autumn leaves and the paper face itself look bright, you can call your experiment “Sunny Leva”. Thus, it is not necessary to spend money on expensive materials for creativity at all.

Materials for autumn crafts:

  • dry autumn leaves;
  • paper;
  • PVA glue;
  • yellow paper;
  • black and red markers;
  • plastic or paper-cut eyes.

How to make an application of autumn leaves in stages

Dry the leaves between the leaves of a magazine or under the pressure of books, then they will not wrinkle in the finished craft. Although freshly picked leaves will begin to curl over time, this will make the lion's coat more lush.

Stick the raw material in the center of the paper around the circumference. 2-3 gluing points are enough, let the resulting ring remain voluminous.

On yellow paper, with a black marker, draw the outlines of the muzzle of a lion with a wide nose.

Highlight the black nose and red color the mouth.

Cut out the workpiece along the contour. Separately make round ears with red centers. Attach the eyes to the muzzle.

The ring of leaves previously pasted on paper must be turned into a magnificent mane of the king of beasts. To do this, simply stick the yellow part in the center. First, focus on the size, cutting out the workpiece so that the head fits in the center of the hair.

A mustache for a representative of the cat breed can be made from cuttings of the same leaves that were used for the main craft. Glue them with a more reliable composition.

A bright sunny application of leaves is ready. Fallen autumn leaves from any tree are suitable for this craft.

Application "Autumn" do it yourself

A leaf painting is a very interesting and unusual craft. It turns out beautiful and bright. And in this master class we will make such a picture. It can decorate the house or even give it to someone.

To make an appliqué from leaves, we need:

  • leaves;
  • hot glue;
  • white cardboard or sheet of paper;
  • black marker.

First we need to draw the silhouette of the girl. Our girl will hold a flower in her hand and blow on it like a dandelion.

And then paint over it with a little black felt-tip pen. There is no need to completely paint over here, since we will make a dress and hair for her from autumn leaves.

For the dress, we take reddish leaves and they should not be too large. It is better to take a little elongated, but also not much.

Glue on hot glue one such leaf instead of the bodice. The tip of the leaf should point down. From this flower we will make a skirt or hem.

Now glue four or five more of the same leaves along the bottom. They should peek out from under the first three leaves. This is such a beautiful dress. Now we can move on to the hair.

For the girl's hair, you need to take long yellow leaves. Willow leaves are great. We glue three leaves first.

And then you can already correct the hairstyle by gluing a couple more leaves in those places where there are gaps. Decorate your hair with a hair clip of small red leaves. Here you can take a sprig of decorative barberry or any other suitable plant.

From a small piece of paper we will make a sleeve. You can take some kind of wavy leaf. So the dress will look even more beautiful and festive.

From another such flower, you need to tear off a few petals. And we glue them as if a girl blows on a flower and the petals fly from it. Many petals should not be glued.

To make the picture brighter, you can make a frame for it from the same dried autumn leaves. Just glue them on the edges.

Here is such an application of flowers and leaves!

The craft is carried out quickly enough, so it is suitable for kindergarten or elementary school. What a hedgehog looks like, all children know. He is prickly, small and very cute. From under the thick thorns, most often we see only a small nose. Using the leaves, you should show the outlines of this animal, then you get a beautiful picture. We offer to make this autumn craft with the children.

What you need to simulate the autumn application:

  • dry herbarium;
  • glue stick or PVA;
  • paper;
  • plastic eye;
  • pink or black half bead.

How to make a hedgehog from leaves step by step

Prepare leaves and paper. One sheet used for modeling must be sharp, for example, lime, to make a muzzle out of it. The rest will go to the prickly back. It can be maple or cover any other tree.

If the herbarium is dry enough, then handle it carefully so that the material does not crumble. It is very important to follow the carved tips, because it is these protrusions that mimic the thorns. Remember that raw leaves will curl and curl in a couple of days.

Glue the muzzle on the paper first and start gluing the leaves for the prickly back to it from behind.

Stick on as many leaves as you like. Be sure to keep the pointed nose out.

Now glue a pink or black half-bead on the sharp tip, add a doll's eye. The hedgehog figurine is ready. Craft made from leaves.

You can complement your autumn application with yellow and orange leaves cut out of paper using a figured hole punch or cut out by hand. Also, these leaves are easy to simply draw. With them, the application will sparkle with new colors.

The autumn picture is lively and fragrant, because the natural material exudes a delicate smell, it is especially pleasant to hold it in your hands.

Children's application - the sun from autumn leaves

The sun warms the earth, caresses us with its rays, revives everything around, shines so brightly and cheerfully. And even in autumn it still pampers us with warm days. We suggest you make a cute and smiling sun from yellowed leaves and paper. The leaves will become warm rays, and the paper circle with eyes, nose and mouth will become an attractive face.

To perform the autumn application, prepare:

  • well-dried leaves of any size and shape;
  • yellow paper;
  • dark blue paper;
  • white, orange and pink paper;
  • glue;
  • black and yellow pen with glitter.

How to make an application of autumn leaves in the form of the sun

Prepare the leaves - details for the rays of the sun. Since the rays must be sharp and long, it is better to use material that has fallen from willow or ash. But in general, all possible options will do.

It is better to dry the herbarium beforehand so that the autumn leaves become even, subsequently they will not curl, wrinkle and will remain the same in their original form.

Also, a dark blue background was used to complete the craft. It is chosen well, because it looks like an autumn sky of a saturated shade.

Cut out a circle from the prepared yellow paper - this is the muzzle of the sun, so warm, sweet and smiling. Make the eyes out of white paper in the form of circles, and also cut out the mouth and nose from pink and orange paper. Select the dimensions of the blanks in accordance with the size of the circle so that everything is in proportion.

Glue eyes, nose and mouth in the center. Draw the pupils with a pen - radiant and luminous. Draw freckles with a yellow pen. Red spots appear on the face of those whom the sun loves and kisses. But the sun itself also has freckles - warm and expensive. We will draw them with pens.

Start gluing the leaves-rays around the circle, creating a lush edging.

Fill one circle with thick autumn leaves. It is advisable to use parts of approximately the same length for the first layer. Now we see the dimensions of the central object.

We received a bright and warm autumn craft, which will become an appliqué painting for decorating an interior or for an exhibition. Such a product will definitely come in handy, find its rightful place.

In the same way, figures of any animals can be made, for example, a hedgehog, an owl or a peacock.

Application of autumn leaves "Girl in the garden"

The autumn garden is always beautiful and bright. And I want to imprint it in my memory for a long time. And you can make a beautiful autumn picture of the leaves, which will remind you of bright autumn for a long time. In this master class, we will make a picture of the leaves "Girl in the Garden".

To make a picture, we need:

  • paints (watercolor or gouache);
  • tassel;
  • dry leaves;
  • black marker;
  • petals of yellow and lilac flowers;
  • yellow satin ribbon;
  • glue;
  • white cardboard.

We start with a couple of small shrubs, which we will draw with paints and a leaf. We take a large leaf. And with a brush we paint it on one side with red paint.

Then we print it on the left on the cardboard. And we will repeat this again, but we will make the second shrub yellow. And we print it a little going to the red.

Let's draw a silhouette of a girl in a magnificent dress near these bushes. She must be looking at the bush. It is best to draw first with a pencil so that you can erase extra strokes and lines. And then circle the lady with a black felt-tip pen.

You need to glue only from above, because under the bottom we will still glue other leaves. Any glue can be used. But hot glue holds the leaves better and stronger.

We take a small leaf with five petals. And we glue it on top of the skirt right at its very beginning.

Then we continue to form the bottom of the skirt. And for this we take beautiful yellow flower petals. They must be large enough. For example, it can be petals from rudbeckia. We glue them on the bottom of the dress.

Take a thin yellow satin ribbon. You can take lilac. And tie a bow. Glue it to the very top of the dress (skirt). Now the dress has become even more beautiful and festive. And it is completely ready.

Glue a leaf to the girl's hair on the head. It should be wavy or needle-shaped. Decorated hair.

And now we will complete the picture with a few drops of paint. Dip the brush first in red and sprinkle on the picture. And then dip in yellow or green. Spray can be done as a little bit, and more. Whoever likes it.

How to make a portrait from autumn leaves

From leaves and flowers, you can make beautiful and varied paintings. Close-up portraits of girls look beautiful. In this master class we will make such a portrait. It is not difficult to complete this picture. The main thing is to prepare leaves and flowers in advance, drying them in any convenient way. This can be done with a press and books, as well as an iron.

To make a portrait of a girl, we need:

  • leaves of oak, birch, barberry and any small green and red leaves;
  • flowers of the virgin aster (September);
  • barberry berries;
  • spruce needles;
  • glue;
  • black marker;
  • white cardboard.

First you need to draw with a felt-tip pen the basis of the portrait of a girl on white cardboard. We draw all the main elements of the face: eyes, nose and lips. We also draw the neck and a smooth transition to the shoulder. The basis of the portrait is ready and now you can proceed to work with the leaves.

And then we begin to shape the face. On the lips you need to glue a small leaf of red, burgundy color. You can take a barberry leaf or a leaf of any other plant. You can glue both on hot glue and on PVA.

Then we will make arrows in front of the girl's eyes or shadows. And for this you need to take an oblong leaf of any color. You can even get green. And glue the leaf to the eyes. We glue it not on the entire eyelid, but only along the bottom and stepping back a little from the beginning of the eye at the nose.

Cut off the tips from the spruce needles. And glue them like eyelashes. It is enough to stick three eyelashes at the edge on one eye. We glue at about the same distance from each other.

Shaping hair. And for this we take a couple of large oak leaves and one small one. Glue first one leaf, then a little higher than the second. And glue the smallest one on top. Thanks to the shape of oak leaves, the girl's hair turns out to be wavy and voluminous.

And from a birch leaf we will make a crown. Glue the leaf to the head so that its sharp part is on top. This is how the crown will turn out.

You can decorate the crown with three berries of barberry or rowan. But you can leave it like that.

On the bottom, where the neckline is, we glue small red leaves, as if outlining the dress.

Then we take the septembers and glue them a little on top of these leaves. So we decorated the girl's dress. And it became more interesting and more elegant. Instead of septembers, you can also use other small flowers. See how to do it here.

A lush and elegant tree made of leaves looks like a real one. Try to find a few differences? This is difficult to do, because the raw materials for making crafts are real autumn leaves. Children clearly imagine exactly how a tree looks, and therefore they can easily make a more or less believable craft. All you need is a whole fan of fallen leaves that you pick up on a walk, as well as reliable glue that will stick these leaves to paper and to each other.

The leaves can be fresh or dried, this craft will not be better or worse. If you make an application from fresh leaves, then you have a double opportunity to further dry your wonderful tree. You can put the application under pressure for a couple of days. The leaves will dry and remain flat. Or just leave the picture in the air. In the process of drying, evaporation of moisture, the leaves will begin to curl, but this will make the tree even more beautiful, and the craft will turn out to be voluminous.

To make an interesting autumn leaf applique, prepare:

  • a sheet of cardboard or thick paper in blue or blue;
  • a fan of maple and other yellowed leaves (freshly picked or dried);
  • glue dragon or another that will glue the leaves to the paper;
  • brown corrugated paper (or crinkled fabric) to make the stem and scissors.

How to make an autumn application in the form of a tree

At an exhibition of crafts in a kindergarten, you can easily perform a similar craft. This is not a complex topiary that will take a lot of time, effort and materials, but just a flat application. Every child can make such a beautiful tree.

The crown must be created from real yellowed or brown leaves, it is advisable to immediately come up with a way to attach them to cardboard. The easiest is to use reliable glue. The tree trunk should be rough. To simulate it, prepare corrugated paper or crinkled fabric.

Cut a wide tree trunk from a brown piece of corrugated paper, expanding towards the bottom. Glue it at the base of the painting. Smooth out the paper. When the trunk is ready, proceed to modeling a lush crown.

Start gluing the leaves. It is better to move in a circle or arrange in the form of a fan. Drip gently with dragon glue or a glue gun, then press down on the sheet. There is no need to lubricate the entire back surface of the leaf, the main thing is that it stays on paper.

Make the first round layer by filling the ring very thickly with leaves. If you have natural material of different sizes, then you can make the lower layers larger, and then gradually reduce the size of the parts used.

Fill the crown completely without gaps. It will turn out a beautiful craft that looks sunny and fresh.

Finish the craft with small details. For example, you can add helicopters to the leaves - ash seeds, as well as glue a few small details at the bottom, showing that the plants shed their robes in autumn.

An unusual autumn craft made from living yellowed leaves is ready.

Autumn application "Girl in a dress made of leaves"

Autumn is the time for crafts made from natural materials. On the street you can find cones, and acorns, and colorful leaves, and even flowers. In this master class, we will make a beautiful application of leaves in the form of a dancing girl in a lush and bright dress. Such an application can become a real picture or postcard. The application is not difficult. The main thing is to pick up flowers and leaves and prepare them.

To make an application, we need:

  • birch and elm leaves;
  • flower of cosmos and rudbeckia;
  • black marker;
  • white sheet of paper;
  • hot glue.

For this craft, leaves and flowers are prepared in advance. They need to be dried. There are two ways. The first is to iron through the paper. And the second is to put between the pages of books and press down. Leave it like that for a few days.

First you need to draw a silhouette of a dancing girl. And you need to draw only the upper body to the waist. There is no point in drawing further, since the dress will be lower.

With a black felt-tip pen, completely paint over this silhouette. And here's what happens. This is the basis and guideline. Next, we will work with leaves and flowers.

Now let's move on to the formation of the girl's flower-leaf dress. And we need to make the top. For this we tear off the core of the cosmos. And glue it on hot glue like a bodice (corset).

Glue three petals of cosmos on top. It turns out here is such a beautiful skirt. And that's the end of the work with flowers. Next, we will glue only the leaves.

Take three elm leaves. And we will no longer glue them on top, but on the bottom of the yellow petals. So we made the extension of the dress due to the fact that the leaves are larger and wider than the flower petals.

We take three more elm leaves. And glue from below under the previous three leaves. But here you need to glue it a little in a slope, as if the dress has a small train.

And we finish the whole dress with three birch leaves. After all, they are yellow and will go well with rudbeckia petals. We also glue them on the bottom of the dress. On this dress, we are ready.

And it remains to glue the leaves as if a girl in a dance pours them. But since the leaves are too large for her, we will tear them into small pieces. And glue a few of these scraps under each handle. Here is such a beautiful and bright application of autumn leaves and flowers!

September, October and even November is the time to make fabulous appliqués from bright, fresh or dried autumn leaves. On the street, we see a lot of natural material that must be used, experimented and created something new. See how to do it here.

Autumn foliage is a wonderful material for creativity. Children are especially interested in making something out of it, and if your child is not very diligent, then be sure to try to make something out of foliage with him. He will definitely enthusiastically create an exciting toy, an animal from what he just ran around. In our article, we will present several workshops on making leaf applications for kindergarten and school.

Applications are sure to be done by children in preschool senior age and in elementary school, because this type of fine art develops motor skills, imagination and creative thinking in children. You and your children, try at home to make these options for crafts from the natural material of autumn:

  1. Owl. To make such a craft, you just need to pick up leaves of different colors and the appropriate shape, as well as a small branch of the vine, because the owl that you will make will sit on it. From the office, prepare dry glue and plasticine. With glue, you will connect all the elements of the craft, and make eyes out of plasticine.

  1. Autumn tree. Prepare any decorative cardboard to make the picture bright, take blue paper. From another office, you will also need brown plasticine, a simple pencil to make a blank for wood, dry glue. From natural materials, prepare as many dry leaves and rowan berries as possible.

  1. Butterfly. Just pick different leaves in shape and color. Be sure to find thin brown leaves to make the body of the butterfly. In extreme cases, yellow foliage can be painted with watercolors of the desired color.

When working with a child, it is very easy to come up with an application. You can invite him to make a favorite cartoon character or make a card for a person whom he loves very much and wants to show his feelings for him.

Application carpet of leaves, detailed with photo

The carpet of leaves is very easy and simple to make. Any preschool child will cope with such an application in 2 counts:

  1. First, invite the child to lay out the leaves on a piece of paper in such a way that there is practically no gap between them.
  2. Then let him smear each leaf with dry glue and stick it in the place where he intended.
  3. If some gaps still remain, tell the child that they can be painted over with a felt-tip pen.

You can use not only leaves in this application, flowers and fruits of autumn trees are also suitable.

You can make a carpet of leaves, but not completely cover the paper web. Come up with some kind of pattern, draw it on paper so that the contours are clearly visible to the child. Let him glue the leaves that he likes in place of the pattern. Of course, in the creative process, orient your child so that the picture looks symmetrical in the end.
